Research involves keeping up with current scholarship in a research area, performing and supervising research, writing grants, and communicating research findings to colleagues; while campus service and administrative work may include serving on committees responsible for academic and institutional policies, participating in student recruitment and retention initiatives/programs, and engaging in campus-wide or department specific events
